Long Term Goals
As a reading specialist, my long-term goal is to improve literacy outcomes by implementing evidence-based interventions and fostering a love for reading. I aim to support diverse learners, including English Language Learners and students with dyslexia, by using research-backed strategies tailored to their needs. To enhance my expertise, I plan to pursue my Orton-Gillingham certification, which will allow me to provide specialized instruction for struggling readers. Additionally, I aspire to collaborate with educators, develop effective literacy programs, and take on leadership roles to positively impact reading instruction at a broader level.
Short Term Goals
My short term goal as an educator is to build a strong foundation in classroom management and differentiated instruction. I aim to create a positive, structured learning environment where all students feel supported and engaged. By utilizing strategies such as individualized behavior plans and reinforcing positive behaviors, I want to ensure students are set up for success. Additionally, I will focus on building strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a sense of community and collaboration within the classroom.
